Create Cinematic Perspective Screen Recordings
Turn standard Mac screen captures into more cinematic videos with perspective framing, depth, and motion that make demos feel more polished.
Use an angled reveal, then make the interaction easy to read.
Perspective gives a flat screen capture depth. It is useful for a product reveal, a transition, or an overview of the composition. During detailed instruction, return to a view where labels and cursor targets remain readable.
Choose a clean part of the recording
Trim setup time and select the moment the product or result should be revealed. Leave space before the first interaction so the movement does not compete with a click.
Open Perspective and choose a preset
Start with a preset in the Perspective controls. Preview the angle using your actual footage; a layout that works for a dashboard may crop a narrow menu or a phone screen.
Adjust the framing
Refine the position, scale, and angle so the subject fills the composition without clipping important content. Review corners, shadows, and the background around the recording.
Review the movement in context
Play the shot with the surrounding clips. Coordinate a close-up with the moment it explains, then return to an overview. Watch the exported result to check text clarity and the transition into the next shot.
Check the result before sharing.
The interface looks too small
Move closer or use a gentler angle. A larger source resolution cannot fix framing that gives the useful interface only a small portion of the final video.
The movement competes with the explanation
Keep the detailed action stable. Save a stronger perspective move for an introduction or result, and let the viewer read before changing the view again.
The shot needs to sit over another design
Consider transparent export for compositing, then check the exported alpha in a compatible player or editor. An ordinary opaque video format will not preserve the empty background.
